Absolutely worthwhile visiting are the extended week markets with all the local French products. In Ribérac on Friday morning, in Saint Astier on Thursday morning and in Chalais on Monday morning.
There are many daily ‘Brocantes’ throughout the region in the summer months, to attract visitors who like to ‘rummage’ or find antiques.
A trip to the Bordeaux wine region is a must. Famous names like Saint Emilion and Pommerol are not even an hour’s drive, places where you can enjoy a glass of delicious wine and buy directly from
the producers.
A 9 holes golf course nearby is situated at ‘Manoir de Longeveau’ in Pillac. An 18 holes golf course you will find in Périgueux.
Canoes can be rented in Ribérac and Aubeterre-sur-Dronne. The last one also provides a little beach, play ground, snack bar and tennis courts. On a hot summer day you can enjoy a leisure day
at ‘La Jemaye’, with a large man-made beach and natural lake.
